Meg has hopeless addictions to words, salt, and proper tea. She has a special place in her soul for movies produced before 1945, houses built before 1930, and small, Irish seaside towns. She makes a St. Paddy's Day Guinness stew that people crave all year, and killer pasta all'Amatriciana—the first thing she ever cooked for her now-husband, Mark. 

They share their home with a 50 year old jade plant and their dogs Zio and Watson.
